Here is a list of suggestions for distressed homeowners who may be behind on their mortgage  payments:

  1. Beware of scams. If the solution sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

  2. Seek foreclosure avoidance counseling. There are government and non-profit agencies that exist to help homeowners like you.

  3. Get profession legal and tax advice. Make sure you have professionals you can trust in your corner protecting your interests.
  4. Talk to a real estate professional with experience dealing with pre-foreclosure and will explain options to you. You may be eligible for a loan modification program (HAMP), short sale, or refinance. See our contact information below.
